Fourth of July Cupcakes

Forth of July is just around the corner.  If you are going to make cupcakes, avoid those that use red or blue artificial food dyes in the batter or the icing. You having to use so much to get the color just right.  I love these ones that I made with my kids a couple of years ago.  So simple.  Follow my recipe for cupcakes found here to really enhance any cake mix.  Use store bought icing or if you have time try my recipe for fluffy buttercream icing.  The little red white and blue sprinkles and the paper flags are just what you need to make these perfect for any Forth of July party.
