Zebra Striped Popcorn
I loved assembling containers of zebra striped popcorn for neighbor gifts this year. All that is needed is fresh popcorn, white chocolate, dark chocolate and mini holiday baking m&m candy. I popped my popcorn in coconut oil (it’s deemed healthy these days, right?) with a bit of popcorn salt before adding the melted white chocolate. The dark chocolate is next added using a disposable plastic pastry bag. Add the mini m&m’s to the tray before the chocolate has time to cool. Once the mini m&ms are added allow the chocolate to set up before placing the zebra striped popcorn in containers for gifting.
Super easy as you can see above. Prepare popcorn, cover in white chocolate (1), drizzle with dark chocolate (2), sprinkle with mini m&m’s (3), wait for chocolate to set up and then package the zebra stripe popcorn for gifting (4).
Depending on family size the popcorn was either placed in cellophane bags or in plastic carry out containers. I really don’t like wasting money on fancy packaging and I think with the red bow these containers look just fine. Happy Holidays!
